Things I've been working on digitally

First I sketched it in my sketchbook, then I re-drew it on photoshop, then I went at it in grayscale just changing each layer to a certain opacity, then I took colors and layed them under the grayscale layers (which is cheating but I really don't like that PS doesn't mix like paint). This is nowhere near done, I still have to draw what the hell she's connected to and stuff. I just got impatient about coloring it. I hope I finish this later :D

This Thing

This is something I should have done a while ago but I'm doing now! These are some artist that using negative space and such the same way we are :D

This is some French lady, I can't find her name on this French blog. Her blog is pretty good too :)http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8v2c2ZgcCFY&feature=BF&list=PL936BF5F69C3F0D9E&index=44

This is Dorothee VAn Biesen, a name I can actually find!
Also, if you want to see a lot of Penis look at this crazy art blog xD Barth I found it while looking for this stuff. The guy actually tries to make penis and vagina into cute (?) characters. I think it worked a little but I still find those parts disgusting Dx lol

Dj Sneak Machine

So, my digital drawing pursuits continue with this character called Sneak Machine, if I were a cool cyborg factory escapee turned Dj I'd be her lol I'm really going to try and pour everything I learn from all my classes this semester into the digital! If I can do that, that would certainly mean less supply cost and more work being put out. I still like the pencil and paper though, but I'll still be able to that too. Here are some things I've been working on in my digital sketchbook :D

:D

I came to MCA for an affordable education lol I hope I can go to another school soon that's more Illustration concentrated and still affordable. If I can't though, I think I'll be ok. Once I receive my degree I want to settle down in a city of some sort and take on some jobs in my field. I don't mind being a jack of all trades as long as I use my illustrative skills. One of my personal goals is to write light novels and do the illustrations for them. If I stay at this school I'll probably go into sequential narrative major just for that cause.

Artists that I'm completely in love with

Audrey Kawasaki is totally awesome, she got me started on the nude women kick that I can't seem to shake off right now. I love her graphic line because she doesn't have to use it, she's a painter and can use values masterfully, but I genuinely think she enjoys using line.

This Barbara Canepa's work. She also had a hand in my obsession with the female body. This picture really reminds me of Schele's piece with the two women. They are wrapped together in a similar way. Haha, can you believe she used to work for Disney with this piece lol I think she does her own comic and magazine through Marvel now.

This is Junko Muzino, I really love her twisted fairy tale comics and the way she treats hair on her characters. Layers and layers of it. I try to copy it sometimes, but I tend to do this from memory instead of looking at her work at the same time. I came up with own version of this hair through that but I never got to master Muzino's hair exactly.

I'm doing master copies of these artist soon. :D

Control Contour awesomeness

I'm doing these sketches in my sketchbook dealing with contour which helps me complete pictures in Illustrator  with the pen tool.  These are the results :D
